SHIFU ROLL This is a new creation from Itamae-San (Master Chef) Enson. This roll has Yellowtail and Tuna, jalapeno, and masago. The outside is a thin layer of rice covered with Iso-No-Yuki. Iso-no-yuki is made out of a mix of seaweed (nori) and soy paper. This gives Iso-no-yuki a distinctive, beautiful and tasty pattern. The roll is covered with spicy avocado and caviar tobiko. The beautiful 10 pieces of the shifu roll are garnished with cilantro sauce.

The Shifu roll is indeed a masterpiece, hence its name (Shifu means master). Make sure you ask for this roll by name, since it is not on our menu yet. The Shifu roll sells for $12.95. Enjoy!

Shiso This leaf is a staple of Japanese cuisine. A member of the mint herb family, it is known as Perilla Japonica or Shiso. Our sushi chefs also call it "Oba". It has anti-inflammatory properties and is considered by many as an important part of the sushi culture.

It is not always available,since it is seasonal, but ask for it and we will be glad to provide it, or it will be part of your plate. It is usually served with Sashimi. Most sushi connoisseurs will take a sushi roll or a sashimi piece with a small bite of the shiso leaf... try it. Some others will even try ginger and shiso together! It is a fun flavor to add to your plate!
