CLICK HERE FOR A LARGER IMAGE A Spider roll begins with a soft shell crab that is inmersed in tempura batter and deep fried to order. At Kyoto we are proud to use a whole soft shell crab for each Spider Roll.

The tempurized soft shell crab is cut lengthwise by the sushi chef.

A strip of fresh nori is prepared with sushi rice, masago and peeled cucumberl.

The sushi chef then takes strips of avocado with the whole soft shell crab and rolls it very tightly.

He then proceeds to cut 6 pieces of maki sushi, with the ends of the shoft shell crab protruding from the rolll.

   
Spider Roll The chefs then proceeds to add sauces and present the roll in a plate.
